According to the Alzheimer’s Association®, Alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior In 2015, there were over 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and it was the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. If you are interested in learning more about this disease and receiving specialized training to work specifically with Alzheimer’s & Dementia patients, then this training course is perfect for you.
Our 2-day Alzheimer’s & Dementia training course teaches you the skills necessary to:
- Understand and recognize Dementia and its symptoms.
- Properly care for those afflicted with Alzheimer’s & Dementia
Upon completion of our Alzheimer’s & Dementia training class, you will have the knowledge of how to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, as well as assisting them with their daily living needs. You will also be have fulfilled the National Certification Board for Alzheimer’s Care education requirement and will be one step closer to becoming a Nationally Certified Alzheimer’s Caregiver.
