Class Description

Between 2019 & 2023, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is scheduled to invest over $8.7 billion into repairing, rebuilding & expanding Michigan’s Highway, Road & Bridge system.

Highway Construction Jobs pay on average:

  • $17.40 (Lansing / East Lansing)
  • $19.51 (Flint / Grand Blanc)
  • $21.77 (Detroit / Warren)

  • Determining Soil Characteristics & Composition
  • Working with Asphalt
  • Mixing, Spreading, Smoothing & Curing Concrete
